In April 1996, Tree Care of New York (TCNY) was founded by Scott Beicke and Al Bingenheimer, two professionals with firsthand experience in utility line clearance and a strong work ethic.
There was no large-scale plan behind the business. It began with a simple belief: show up, do the work right, treat people well, and opportunities will follow.
Thirty years later, that belief still defines the company.

Early growth came from trust, not marketing.
A key relationship with Paul Healy of Healy Tree Service helped TCNY expand beyond utility work into residential and commercial services. As that opportunity opened, the company began diversifying, laying the groundwork for long-term growth.
At the same time, support from local partners helped TCNY find its footing. From shared office space in the Village of Lancaster to early legal guidance and operational support, the company was built with the help of a community that believed in the work.
